NewsWe're on the move!On June 17th, Rochelle Kiwanis Golden K voted to change our meeting place from Countryside Village Apartments to the Rochelle Country Club. This change was facilitated by the need for more room to accomodate new membership as well as Interclub guests and others. The first meeting at Rochelle Country Club will be held on July 1, 2010. We will look back with fond memories at our long association with Countryside Village Apartments, yet look ahead as well, knowing our new association with Rochelle Country Club will be a rewarding and enjoyable one. ![]() Our final kitchen crew at Countryside: (L-R) Al Hann, Bob Elliott Larry Cich, Don Furland, Jim Moorehead, By Kyler, Ken Roeglin. A Special Guest On May 27th, Madison Wilkinson, a junior at Rochelle Township High School, appeared before our club and delighted us with song. Maddy is one of 50 studens nationwide selected to be part of the Sounds Of America choir tour this summer. The tour will visit 6 European countries and is scheduled for 11 concerts. Each student must cover the approximately $6000 expected expense, and our club was able to assist Maddy in obtaining that goal by donating our weekly Happy Basket free will offering. Because we were able to schedule today's event in advance, and our members had prior knowledge of her appearance, we were able to raise $1105.00 to help defray her expense. Good luck, Maddy, and we'll look forward to seeing you after the tour. ![]() Maddy Wilkinson appeared before our club with
