Club Meetings  

Interested finding out what Kiwanis is all about? Join us for one of our breakfast meetings. You're always welcome and may stop by any Thursday. Breakfast is on us...

Our club meets every Thursday at 8:30 a.m
.

We meet at: Countryside Village Apartments
907 N. 2nd Street
Rochelle, IL 61068

Meetings take place in the main dining room just off the East side of the lobby. Members and guests are asked to park in the public parking area accessed from the far East extension of 8th Avenue (by Teen Town).
  • Meetings include breakfast, prayers, pledge of allegiance and scheduled presentations by community or regional leaders. The first Thursday of every month, a board meeting follows our regular meeting (no presentations are scheduled).

Recent Meeting Guests:

Our June 18th meeting focused on membership. The membership committee organized a presentation based questions most often asked of prospective members. Members were invited to bring guests and the cost of breakfast for both members and their guests was paid by the club.

Eric Nefstead, Weekend Meteorologist at WTVO, Channel 17
Rockford, who was born in Rochelle and grew up in Steward,
spoke at our September 10th breakfast meeting.



Sandra Julifs, Tri County Opportunities Council,
spoke at our August 13th breakfast meeting.



Dale Meyers, Meyers Furniture of Rochelle,
spoke at our July 23rd breakfast meeting
about the experimental airplane he built and flies.



Steve Zayas, TLC/Bay Valley Foods, 
spoke at our July 16th breakfast meeting.



Steve Liezert, Rochelle Parks director
spoke at our July 9th breakfast meeting.



Jerry Kill, NIU head football coach
spoke at our June 25th breakfast meeting.



Jim Panquary, Franklin Grove Historical Society
spoke at our June 11th breakfast meeting.



Karen Copeland, Rock River Center, spoke at our May
21st breakfast meeting.


Stan Elson, owner of Moore's True Value Hardware spoke
at our May 14th meeting on the hardware business.
The store in Rochelle is the oldest True Value Hardware store
in the nation.


Member Bob Sage, recipient of the Distinguished Flying
Cross, spoke at our April 23rd meeting about his
experiences flying a B-24 bomber over Europe during
World War II.
