Kiwanis
International is the premier service organization serving
the needs of
children Worldwide. Our children are our future. One simple question
need be asked: Do we want to leave the future of our children in the
hands of others, or do we want to take control of their destiny
ourselves? If your answer is to be actively involved, then Kiwanis is
for you.
While Kiwanis is Worldwide, it is also local. It operates through local
chapters supported by a World organization based in the United States.
In fact our KI president next year is an Illinois resident. And while
each local club is charted to follow guidelines set by the
International organization, the programs it supports and goals it
strives to meet are developed and organized locally. Actually, it may
be said Kiwanis is an organization of one. That one being
each member doing their best to serve the community and its children.
To better understand this, we provide two videos (below) which discuss
the WHO in Kiwanis, and the WHY of Kiwanis. And along with them, there
is an interview with coach Tony Dungy on the value of leadership. While
you're watching and listening, think about what you want to do for your
community and its youth. And then think how Kiwanis can help you
